Election of members of the Committee and senior management

At the General Assembly of the Comité Français de l’Arbitrage (CFA), dated 28 January 2016, in accordance with the spirit of the CFA which is to ensure the representation of the major arbitration players, in-house counsels, lawyers, judges and academics, the Board was partially re-elected. In addition to the members who were re-elected, 5 new members were nominated: Mrs. Claire Debourg, Lecturer at Université Paris Ouest (Nanterre La Défense), Christine Guerrier, litigation in-house counsel (Groupe Thalès), Sophie Lemaire Professor at Université Paris-Dauphine, Laura Weiller, Lecturer HDR at Université Aix-Marseille and Mr. Christophe Seraglini, professor at Université Paris Ouest and partner at the law firm Betto Seraglini. The newly elected Board met on the 15 February 2016 and elected a new management team, since Mrs. Carole Malinvaud, who had served as President for three years, Mr. Jacques Pellerin, lawyer and former President of the Chambre des Avoués to the Paris Court of Appeal as Vice-President and Mr. François-Xavier Train as Secretary General, had reached the end of their terms. The Board elected Mr. Laurent Jaeger, Partner at Orrick Rambaud Martel as President, Mrs. Laura Weiller as Secretary General, and renewed Mr. Jacques Pellerin in his function of Vice-President.

Mr. Philippe Lepoittevin having resigned from his function of Treasurer in October 2014, the Board met on 28 October 2014 and elected at the unanimity of the present members, Mr. Jérôme Ortscheidt, lawyer at the Conseil d’Etat et à la Cour de cassation, as new Treasurer. Mr. Ortscheidt is renewed in such functions.

The members of the Board expressed their congratulations and thanks to Carole Malinvaud for her work which has greatly contributed to the development of the Comité Français de l’Arbitrage while remaining dedicated to its original academic aims. The new senior management team will continue this work and focus on developing further projects on both a national and an international level.
